Our Founders

Jim and Andrea Payne live in Haymarket with their son Andy and 2 Golden Doodles Cassie and Gracie. They have experience being owners of an award winning daycare, boarding and grooming facility and brought this new concept to Haymarket. You’ll find Andrea there most days helping out wherever needed and available to give tours. Jim is also known as “the dog whisperer”. He makes a connection with each and every dog that he encounters. They wanted to live and work in their community offering services that were needed and provide not only the best in the area but a step above the rest. Jim and Andrea know and love their clients and love watching their pups come in knowing they are going to have a great day! Welcome to the upgrade.

ErinMichelle - Manager

ErinMichelle is one of our original team members. She has spent 20 years in the grooming and pet care industry. She has a Mini Golden Retriever, Duncan and a Silky Terrier named Ted. ErinMichelle loves spending time with all of the pups!

Peyton - Telephone Reservations and Team Lead

Peyton joined our team in 2022 as training apprentice for our Puppy, Basic Obedience and Canine Good Citizen Training Classes. Early in 2023 she joined us in the front office of A Pup's Valley answering phones and making reservations. She has a doberman/lab mixed named Finn and has a real gift making everyone feel comfortable!

Jenny - Team Lead

Jenny joined our team summer of 2023. Jenny grew up on a farm with 18 working dogs and has several dogs of her own. She makes a connection with each pup she meets and has a heart of gold.

Gracie - Team Lead

Gracie joined us in the Summer of 2022 and has been working in the front office since January 2023. She has a Lab Mix named Apollo. Gracie loves chatting with the clients and seeing the pup's excitement when checking in for daycare or boarding!

Alyssa - Groomer

Alyssa has a beautiful Dachshund, Abella at home and brings to us many years of experience in grooming! She started with us part time in 2021 and is now full time here and we couldn’t be happier! She is a master of all the pup cuts!

Cayley - Groomer

Cayley has joined our Grooming team Spring of 2022. With 6 years of experience, she and her family has recently relocated to the Gainesville/Haymarket area. We are excited to have her on our team! Her grooms are amazing! She has a Maltese, Cyrus and a Lab mix named Roxanne.

Ashely comes to us with 6 years of grooming experience and joined us in the Spring of 2023. She has worked at large corporate grooming locations as well as a Veterinary Office. Ashley has a Chiweenie named Weens.

Elora - Groomer

Elora will be joining our team in August of 2023. She comes to us with nearly 10 years of grooming experience and loves grooming Doodles. She has 2 pomeranians at home that get her full time love.

Given the beautiful snow on the ground and forecast into tomorrow we *may* need to close tomorrow for daycare. For our Our grooming clients have already been notified that we will be rescheduling them. For our boarding clients. We have an onsite apartment where one of our team leads resides full time. He will be able to take care of the boarding pups we have currently staying with us. For those scheduled to pick up tomorrow we can arrange for that. We will update our page by 5AM Tuesday with a decision. We want to keep our staff safe traveling to and from work. We appreciate your understanding and support.

Just like kids in daycare, if your pup isn’t feeling well, please stay home and skip a day of doggy daycare until your pup is feeling better. We encourage you to speak with your veterinarian about vaccination options and symptoms to look for to know if your pup is sick.
