Vaccine and Neuter/Spay Policy

What are your vaccination requirements?

All pups are required to be up to date on Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella vaccinations. Bordetella vaccinations if lapsed or new are ideally administered 2 weeks ahead of the stay with us but are required at least 48 hours prior to their stay. Additionally, we highly recommend the K9Flu Vaccine annually.

For dogs: Bordetella, Rabies, DHLPP (Distemper 5 in 1), current on flea & heartworm preventative. Strongly encourage annual fecal testing as well as

What are your age requirements?

To participate in open open play daycare, dogs must be spayed or neutered over the age of 8 months old. All human friendly dogs over the age of 8 months can participate in Day School or board in a Private Boarding Suite as availability permits.

Can my dog still get sick although current on all vaccines?

Yes. All our clients must be current on all vaccines. However, there are many strands of viruses out there and some dogs may have a weaker immune system than others. We keep our facility extremely sanitary but we are a daycare and just like kids going to daycare, they can sometimes catch a bug and get sick. We discourage any dogs with any symptoms from coming into our facility.

Day School

A Pup’s Valley’s newest service addition is Day School. This is a perfect solution for pups that do not do well in large play groups due to social anxiety or just not enjoying group play. This is also a good solution for pups that have aged out of daycare due to spay/neuter policy. Note female pups in heat will not be permitted to attend Day School during that time.

We will follow the PET Play Exercise Thinking philosophy. Pups are worked with individually or in small groups based on the pup’s needs to do PET activities with periods of rest in between. Examples of activities are Frisbee or ball play on the porch, small group play if eligible, Treadmill time, Enrichment activities such as Lick Matts, Puzzles, Barkworks, working on and refining basic commands. We plan to introduce a trick of the month as well.

Day School hours are 9AM to 3PM but drop-off is 7AM – 9AM and pickup can be anytime before 6PM.
